Cosmic Octave

Exhibited in London Science Museum celebrating Britain’s first astronaut; Tim Peake’s launch to the International Space Station (ISS) on 15 December 2015. Cosmic Octave (2015) is an interactive installation that uses Hans Cousto calculations on the cosmic octave to match frequencies produced by the different planets to that produced by people speaking into the microphone. So which planet do you sound like?

Infinity

Collaborated with Tudor & Yun Li for our Science Museum project entitled “Infinity” to recreate the experience of travelling through space . Well not really – but we imagined it to be a dancing spectacle of lights.

A W E

A W E (2015) hopes to expand one’s consciousness through a reflective narrative that is complemented by moving images of dramatic hills, mountains, oceans and people captured throughout the artist’s journey across India. It attempts to re-create the feeling of recollecting memories – often times a result of chopped up threads of many vague images pieced together – blurred but clear all at the same time.

Speculative Design: S/TECH

Drawing inspiration from the idea of hover boards and superconducting magnetic disc NASA first invented in 1999 that blocks Earth’s gravitational pull – I speculated about how we could potentially move about Earth in the future.

Anti-Affordances

“The term affordance refers to the relationship between a physical object and a person (or for that matter, any interacting agent, whether animal or human, or even machines and robots). An affordance is a relationship between the properties of an object and the capabilities of the agent that determine just how the object could possibly be used.” – Don Norman.
